The app, “Plastica”, aims to prevent the harmful effects of unrecyclable plastic thrown into our landfills by educating users beforehand about the type/quality of plastic in the product they purchase. Hence, the app will help reduce harmful plastic use in households. Rather than letting plastic pollution enter the ecosystem of Canada, the app will correct the problem at the very beginning.
